Welcome to the ContactAtOnce! Glossary. This glossary has definitions for a variety of ContactAtOnce! terms as they apply to using our product and services.

Active EmailA presence-aware "contact us" designed to drive site visitors from leaving email leads to the interactive lead types that advertisers prefer. See Active Email Overview
AdvertiserAlso referred to as a Merchant, a business which is selling a product or service.
AdvertiserIdThe unique identifier for an Advertiser and Publisher pair. The advertiser id is established by a Publisher when the Advertiser is provisioned.
Aggregated PresenceThe collective status of agent availablity which determines the visibility of a presence icon.
Click-to-callA telephone call connecting a site visitor to an advertiser via a web-based application. May be an escalation from an IM conversation or initiated from a click-to-call button on an advertisement/webpage. See Click-to-call Escalation Overview and Click-to-call Standalone Overview.
First Responder RoutingThe routing is such that the lead is awarded to the first agent who responds to the instant connect request.
ImpressionThe event of presenting a web page, enabled with at ContactAtOnce! presence icon. The advertiser associated with the Presence Icon may or may not be "online".
Inbound Tracked CallA telephone call (lead) delivered to an advertiser via a Publisher's assigned trackable telephone number. The trackable phone number is uniquely assigned to an Advertiser and Publisher pair.
Intervention DropInA visual prompt, presented to site visitors, creating a "call to action". Designed to stimulate more leads. See Intervention DropIn
Listing DetailsContextual data passed from an advertisement or listing to ContactAtOnce!. Listing Details are:
  • Passed to the advertiser agents to facilitate easy response to the customer inquiry
  • Captured by ContactAtOnce! lead tracking system
  • Reported in the Advertiser Portal and Publisher Portal
  • Instant ConnectThe concept of the consumer being connected at once(immediately) to a merchant.
    Measured Phone CallsTelephone calls delivered to an advertiser including inbound tracked calls and click-to-call calls.
    MerchantAlso referred to as an Advertiser, a business which is selling a product or service.
    Origination URLThe URL from which a ContactAtOnce! communication session was initiated - typically on a publisher or advertiser site. The origination URL is automatically captured by the stand ContactAtOnce! integration tags and passed to sales agents and to the lead tracking system.
    PlacementA logical "place" where a Publisher can insert a ContactAtOnce! component. Placements are defined by Publishers. Placements allow Publishers to use different artwork for different applications within a web site and to track performance statistics at a placement-level.
    PlacementIdA unique identifier for an instance of a placement
    POTSPlain Old Telephone Service.
    Present ImpressionThe event of presenting a web page, enabled with at ContactAtOnce! presence icon when the advertiser is "online".
    ProviderAlso referred to as a Publisher, an entity which provides online third-party advertising for internet merchants.
    ProvisionThe process by which a Publisher establishes ContactAtOnce! service for an Advertiser.
    PSTNThe Public Switched Telephone Network
    PublisherAlso referred to as a Provider, an entity which provides online third-party advertising for internet merchants.
    Round Robin RoutingA load balancing routing technique, by which leads are awarded on a rotating basis, to agents responding to instant connect requests.
    Routing TypeThe routing type directly affects the way in which a merchant responds to instant connect requests.
    SMSShort Message Service is a service for sending short text messages to mobile devices such as cell phones.
    Standalone Click-to-callA lick-to-call session initiated from a button on an advertisement as contrasted to an escalation from within an IM session. See Click-to-call Escalation Overview and Click-to-call Standalone Overview.
    Unique ImpressionImpression presented to a "unique" visitor to a web page enabled with at ContactAtOnce! presence icon. Unique is determined via IP address.
    Unique Present ImpressionPresent impression presented to a "unique" visitor to a web page enabled with at ContactAtOnce! presence icon. Unique is determined via IP address.
    VisitIdUnique internal identifier assigned by ContactAtOnce! A "visit" represents the collection of communication types within a single session between and advertiser and site visitor. Multiple communication types may be included within a single visit. For example, if an IM conversation is escalated to a click-to-call or VoIP session then the each of the communications will have the same VisitId enabling the communications to be logically linked.
    VoIPVoice over Internet Protocol
