SMS Alerts – Feature Overview
SMS alerts will be sent to a SMS-capable cell phone or mobile device when an IM lead is missed and the site visitor completes the “offline contact” form.
- Immediate notification that a customer wishes to be contacted.
- Most mobile devices allow one button instant callback to the customer from an SMS alert
- The site visitor’s contact information is captured along with their message or question.
- The advertiser specifies an SMS address to receive SMS alerts via the System Contact Settings page
- A site visitor initiates an instant connect session by clicking on the presence icon.
- None of the available agents respond to the Instant Messaging lead.
- Site visitor competes the offline contact form
- A SMS message is sent to the specified agent’s SMS-capable cell phone or device.
- The agent calls the site visitor back with an immediate callback from the SMS phone.
